All blog posts are 140 words or less…really? But, why?

Have you ever heard someone utter, “Man, summer is just dragging on and on.”? Or, how about, “Kids sure grow up slowly these days, don’t they?” Ummm…me neither.

time picLet’s be honest, life flies by. Always has, always will. We all want to experience things, learn from others and live a full life, just not a bloated one. Out of that desire, leaderbird was hatched. A unique blog where life, business and leadership insights and lessons are comprised of 140 words or less. I believe it’s the only site of its kind on the web. Which could be good or bad.

Why 140 words? Twitter has buy-in from millions feeling they can communicate in a tweet of 140 characters or less. Seemed like a good, consistent number to shoot for, so I did. Is it difficult to convey an impacting message in so few words? Yes and no.

deck is desk

I’m wordy, and so are most people who write and teach, so it’s a bit of a stretch to keep it short. However, because leaderbird is geared for you, the reader, and not the author, the drive to keep people engaged for a few minutes to provide a takeaway thought or idea is compelling enough to work hard at it.

If this resonates and you’d like to contribute a post, contact me and we can chat about making that happen.

If you have a business that you would like to promote on the SHOWBIZ page of this site? Drop me a note and let’s see what we can do.

A special thank you and shout-out to my friend, Dave Yankowiak of Lift Development, for beautifying the site. Check out his wares!

Thanks for flying in. I look forward to engaging with you in the days ahead!
