No Advice for my Son

Now that my son received his diploma, I have a boatload of advice I’d like to pass along before he ventures out on his own.

I’d like to, but, I won’t. He will succeed, fail and learn just fine on his own.

Instead of advice, I am giving him the same assurance my dad gave me:

Robbie –

There is nothing you could ever do to make me love you more.
There is nothing you could ever do to make me love you less.

I just plain love you. Always have, always will.

Dad

My Confirmation verses still ring true to the core: “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
